One of the oldest stoneware manufacturers in the United States, the Stoneware Art Factory has been dedicated to the tradition and careful craftsmanship of transforming clay into enduring, functional art for the home, kitchen and garden since 1815.
Natural stoneware clay up to 250 million years old is harvested from deposits in Kentucky and Indiana. Once the clay is brought in from the mines, the process of creating functional art begins at our studios in Louisville, Kentucky.
