Black Diamond mostly manufactures the hard goods end of their Ice & Rock Climbing Gear in Salt Lake City UT. These hard goods consist of Ice Screws, Ice Shoes (Ice Cleats or Crampons) and Rock Spikes or Pitons.

The Ice Climbing Gear that is US made is their Ice Screw, a chromoly steel anchor used for recreational ice climbing or crevasse rescue; and the Ice Crampon, a steel framework that is attached to the bottom of a boot to prevent slipping when walking or climbing on ice and snow.

Black Diamond also manufactures their Rock Spikes or Pitons in America, they are used in rock cracks for anchoring purposes and have a hole for securing carabiners or spring hooks. The Lost Arrow Pitons are made in Italy.
