Paint Brush vs Foam Brush:

A paint brush can leave ridges and may need several strokes to cover an area, the foam brush leaves a smoother finish and requires less strokes for coverage. A paint brush can be reused many times over, the foam brush is usually discarded after several uses. Paint brushes work better on rough and irregular surfaces. After prolonged use; the paint brush needs to be cleaned thoroughly and your time and much water and solvents may be consumed in the process, the foam brush can be thrown away. Foam brushes should not be used with shellac or lacquer.
