Energizer Batteries are also produced in other countries, we found some of the alkaline (#s – 521, 528, 529, EN529) are not made here. Most of their lithium are made overseas. Their miniature alkaline batteries are made domestically and foreign, we have found the AA Pile Alkaline Battery at Costco that is US made. The Energizer Representative stated that at this time, all of their Hearing Aid Batteries are also American made and they do not contain mercury.
Always make sure you verify through out the purchasing process that the batteries are made in USA. If you wish to contact their Energizer Consumer Relations Dept. @ 1-800-383-7323 they can verify product origin.
We could not find a made in USA page on their website, you may wish to call and ask for one to be posted, in order to find an American made battery.

Actually the Energizer batteries are made by Eveready which of course was an American product at one time. Even the Interstate 6V lantern batteries are made in China now; I saw one this morning as I purchased what I hope to be a USA made Interstate car battery. I now am looking to see if the Duracell ( copper top ) lantern 6 volt batteries are USA products as they advertise. It is really sad that we seem to be selling out to Chinese products which I absolutely refuse to use. They can take Wal Mart and send it overseas to the 3rd world countries as far as I’m concerned before we become one of those countries ourselves.
